INKBIRD is the messenger soaring in the sky of smart IoT industry
Born in 2010, INKBIRD was originated from two kite-chasing boys who held full spirit of technologies.
The development of human being’s civilization started with word-of-mouth communications and has been thrilling until today because of the advent of the quill-pen.
The quill-pen is made of BIRD feather/quill and used for writing with INK. From the middle ages to the 19 century, it had been used as the writing tool to record every significant progress of human being’s civilization. During that period, almost all of the literary works, technological breakthroughs and human being progresses could not be happened without it.
Inspired by the history of quill-pen, the founders of INKBIRD named their brand starting with the word INK to encourage the development and continuity of the company.
From 1897 to 1899, The Wright brothers had been observing birds flying. Finally in 1903, they flew the world's first successful motor-operated airplane under the witness of the whole world. Since then, The spirits of chasing freedom and flying have been deeply branded in the human being’s mind. The Wright brothers have been inspiring worldwide countless entrepreneurs and innovators, including the founders of INKBIRD, so they named their brand ending up with the word BIRD to motivate their solid steps of chasing innovation and freedom.

More Reliable with 3 Averages: INKBIRD radon detector helps us understand the level of indoor radon, which is the second leading cause of lung cancer, according to the American Lung Association. We can read three measurements on the screen—long-time average (up to 1 year), last-day average (updated hourly), and last 7-day average. The radiant hazard mainly depends on long-term exposure to radon, so the WHO recommends referring to the long-term radon average.
2-Year Battery Life: This indoor radon detector is battery-operated and will continuously work for up to 2 years on 3 AAA batteries, which are included in the package. Easy to use with low power consumption, we can place it anywhere to detect radon levels and maintain a healthy living environment for our family.
Low Battery Prompt: For easier understanding, it has a measurement indicator on the screen, which will blink when the detector is on working status. When the battery power is too low, a low battery prompt also will appear to remind us to replace the battery in time. Please note that all data will be deleted after restarting the detector.
Flexible Placement: We can place it on a flat surface with its foldable stand or hang it on the wall through the hanging hole on its back. Its large screen allows us to read the measurement values clearly from anywhere. It is ideal for any place close to the ground, such as a garage, basement, cellar, and living room, continuously monitoring the radon level in the house.
Important Notes:
a) This radon detector should not be exposed to direct sunshine or placed in an environment with humidity higher than 85%RH.
b) For accurate measurement, it should be placed 50 cm from the ground and at least 150 cm from the window/door/vent, and not moved during measurement.
c) The longer the measurement time, the more accurate the result. 7-day measurement accuracy is 10%; measurement accuracy over 2 months is 5%.
d) Radon is unevenly distributed in the atmosphere, so different detectors do not get the same measurements, but the differences between their long-term average are relatively small.
e) The measurement data will be displayed after 24 hours of operation, and the average value of 7 days will appear after the detector has worked over 7 days.
